Big Rigs – Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy (“Policy”) explains how Big Rigs Truck & Trailer Sales (“Big Rigs,” “we,” “us”) handles the shipping, collection, and delivery of trucks, trailers, and accessories purchased through our Website (https://www.bigrigs.co.za) or directly from our premises.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms set out below.


1. General

1.1 All orders are subject to stock availability.
1.2 Dispatch and delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to location, courier availability, third-party delays, or unforeseen events.
1.3 Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer once the goods leave our premises or are handed over to the courier/transport provider.


2. Vehicles (Trucks & Trailers)

2.1 Collection

  • All vehicles are sold on a collection basis from Big Rigs HQ in Bredell, Kempton Park.

  • Buyers are responsible for arranging their own collection and transport unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2.2 Delivery

  • Where requested, Big Rigs can assist in arranging delivery through independent logistics companies.

  • Delivery costs will be quoted separately and must be paid in advance.

  • Delivery is performed at the buyer’s risk. Big Rigs is not liable for damage, loss, or delay caused during third-party transportation.

2.3 Insurance

  • Buyers must arrange insurance coverage prior to collection or delivery handover.

  • Big Rigs will not be held responsible for accidents, mechanical failures, or incidents once the vehicle has left our premises.


3. Jump Starter & Accessories

3.1 Dispatch

  • Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 2 business days of payment confirmation.

  • Dispatch may be delayed during weekends, public holidays, or high-demand periods.

3.2 Courier Services

  • Accessories are shipped via reputable third-party couriers nationwide.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and displayed before payment is completed.

3.3 Delivery Times

  • Local deliveries (RSA): 2–5 business days.

  • Remote areas: 5–10 business days.

  • International shipping is not currently offered.

3.4 Tracking

  • Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking link from the courier. Delivery status is updated directly by the courier and is beyond Big Rigs’ control.


4. Delivery Issues

4.1 Delays

  • Delivery times are estimates. Big Rigs is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, strikes, weather, or other external factors.

4.2 Failed Delivery

  • If a delivery attempt fails due to incorrect address details or absence of the recipient, re-delivery fees may apply and are the buyer’s responsibility.

4.3 Damaged Parcels

  • If a parcel arrives damaged, you must notify the courier immediately upon delivery and report the issue to us within 24 hours.

  • Claims for courier damage are subject to the courier’s own investigation and policies.


5. Risk & Responsibility

5.1 Title to the goods passes only once full payment has cleared.
5.2 Risk passes to the buyer once goods leave our premises or are handed to a courier/transport provider.
5.3 Big Rigs is not responsible for:

  • Damage or loss during transport.

  • Costs of re-delivery due to customer error.

  • Indirect or consequential damages caused by delivery delays.
